Iran's President Ahmadinejad applauded at UN

Iran's President Ahmadinejad "was greeted by applause when he walked into the United Nations General Assembly, and applauded again, even after questioning 9/11 and claiming that the American government may have been behind the attack", according to Fox News.

The Iranian President called for a U.N. fact finding group to investigate 9/11. Hundreds of US scientists, engineers, architects, military and intelligence personnel have been calling for an investigation for a couple of years.

Yesterday in New York, Mr. Enver Masud, founder of The Wisdom Fund, presented his book "9/11 Unveiled" to Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The occasion was a private dinner at the Warwick hotel in New York City hosted by Mohammad Khazaee, the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations.

Approximately 50 Muslim leaders, including Minister Farrakhan and representatives of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Muslim American Society (MAS), Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), Truth & Justice Foundation attended.

Following dinner, President Ahmadinejad met with guests and invited questions and comments. He responded to each of them.

In his response to Mr. Masud's statement that the official account of 9/11 is false, President Ahmadinejad stated that he would read Mr. Masud's book "9/11 Unveiled".

"9/11 Unveiled" was mailed to President Obama and Attorney General Holder on March 24, 2009, and has since been presented to several US government officials.

President Ahmadinejad is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on Thursday.

Disinformation: Noman Benotman's 'open letter to Osama bin Laden'

Who is Noman Benotman, and should we trust him?

The Quilliam Foundation claims that it is "a think tank." You would think that their website would have some thoughtful articles by Mr. Benotman. Yet we couldn't find a single article by Mr. Benotman at their website

According to his employer: "Noman Benotman has been appointed as Senior Analyst (Strategic Communications) at Quilliam. He is leading Quilliam’s work on de-radicalisation processes in the UK and abroad, working to raise international awareness of Jihadist recantations, co-ordinating Quilliam’s outreach to current and former extremists and using Quilliam as a platform from which to share his inside knowledge of al-Qaeda and other Jihadist groups with a wider audience."

As a Senior Analyst, surely Mr. Benotman is familiar with the work of Prof. David Ray Griffin.

Prof. Griffin, in a thoroughly researched article, claims, "Osama bin Laden has been dead for many years", and "that there is not even any good evidence for the claim that bin Laden was responsible for the 9/11 attacks."

Indeed, the evidence against Bin Laden, promised by Secretary of State Colin Powell on September 23, 2001, has yet to be made available to the public, and the FBI states that it has "no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11".

Noman Benotman's "open letter to Osama bin Laden" is disinformation. It is intended to keep alive the myth that Osama bin Laden was behind the attacks of September 11, 2001, and to permit the US to claim victory by staging the death of Osama bin Laden.

A comment on Eid — Muslims' day of celebration

Muslims are toning down Eid festivities in honor of September 11 writes Tara Bahrampour in the Washington Post. We agree. Eid observances should recognize that Muslims' day of celebration happens to coincide with a tragic day for Americans — Muslims included. But with the news media focused on 9/11, Muslims should use this opportunity to respectfully combat the Islamophobia that is raging across parts of the United States and Europe.

The facts speak for themselves. The 9/11 Commission Report is fatally flawed.

At the September 12, 2001, Dept. of Defense (DoD) News Briefing by Assistant Secretary of Defense, Victoria Clarke, Ed Plaugher (fire chief of Arlington County), and others, "American Airlines", "Flight 77", "Boeing 757" were not even mentioned. Reporters on the scene were denied access, "handcuffed and dragged away".

In a front page article on September 12, 2001 -- On Flight 77: 'Our Plane Is Being Hijacked' — Marc Fisher and Don Phillips of the Washington Post reported that Barbara K. Olson called her husband twice in the final minutes before the crash of Flight 77. FBI exhibit P200054 from the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui contradicts the Solicitor General's account. It shows that Barbara Olson made only one phone call — it did not connect, and it lasted for 0 seconds.

The FBI's "Most Wanted Terrorists" web page does not state that Bin Laden is wanted for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. When asked why there is no mention of 9/11 on the FBI's web page, Rex Tomb, the FBI's Chief of Investigative Publicity, is reported to have said, "The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Laden's Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11."

It’s past time that Muslims joined with the millions of Americans working to expose the false account of that tragic day in September 2001. Instead of being on the defensive, Muslims should be asking the news media and Congress why it’s not investigating 9/11.

The Independent (UK) states: "Deena Burnett remembers the call from her husband on Flight 93."

In the trial of Zacarias Moussavi (the alleged 20th hijacker) FBI exhibits show that the US Solicitor General apparently lied about receiving phone calls from his wife Barbara Olson on board Flight 77.

In 2001 cell phone calls were "essentially impossible" and "American Airlines 757s [did] not have onboard phones for passenger use." Only two cell phone calls were made from the aircraft involved in 9/11.

In fact the US government's own records show that "The 9/11 Commission Report" is fatally flawed.

Hard evidence exists that American Airlines Flight 77 did not strike the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 -- the laws of science refute the official account of 9/11

At the September 12, 2001, Dept. of Defense News Briefing by Victoria Clarke, Assistant Secretary of Defense, "American Airlines", "Flight 77", "Boeing 757", were not even mentioned.

The security camera video of "Flight 77" released by the Pentagon has one frame showing something -- labeled "Approaching Aircraft" -- moving parallel to the ground about 100 yards in front of the Pentagon.

This is the U.S. government's evidence to support its claim that American Airlines Flight 77 struck the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.

However, the government's own records -- Pentagon transcripts, official reports, flight data recorder, and the laws of science belie "The 9/11 Commission Report".

September 11, 2001: CNN News Report

Just minutes after the alleged attack, standing in front of the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, Jamie McIntyre, CNN's senior Pentagon correspondent since November 1992, reported: "From my close up inspection there's no evidence of a plane having crashed anywhere near the Pentagon. . . . . The only pieces left that you can see are small enough that you could pick up in your hand. There are no large tail sections, wing sections, fuselage -- nothing like that anywhere around which would indicate that the entire plane crashed into the side of the Pentagon."

This news report apparently was not rebroadcast, and a few years later McIntyre claimed on CNN (Wolf Blitzer's show) that he had been taken out of context -- the context is quite clear in McIntyre's September 11, 2001 broadcast from the Pentagon.

Lt Col Karen Kwiatowski, who from her fifth-floor, B-ring office at the Pentagon, witnessed "an unforgettable fireball, 20 to 30 feet in diameter" confirms McIntyre's account.

Writing in "9/11 and American Empire: Intellectuals Speak Out," Kwiatowski noted, "a strange absence of airliner debris, there was no sign of the kind of damage to the Pentagon structure one would expect from the impact of a large airliner. This visible evidence or lack thereof may also have been apparent to the secretary of defense, who in an unfortunate slip of the tongue referred to the aircraft that slammed into the Pentagon as a 'missile'."

Pentagon employee April Gallop, whose "desk was roughly 40 feet from the point where the plane allegedly hit the outside wall" stated in a sworn complaint (before the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York): "As she sat down to work there was an explosion, then another; walls collapsed and the ceiling fell in. Hit in the head, she was able to grab the baby and make her way towards the daylight showing through a blasted opening in the outside wall. There was no airplane wreckage and no burning airplane fuel anywhere; only rubble and dust."

Barbara Honegger, military affairs journalist, reported in her personal capacity that a pilot sent by Gen Larry Arnold (NORAD) "reported back that there was no evidence that a plane had hit the building." She added, "Multiple standard-issue, battery-operated wall clocks . . . stopped between 9:31 and 9:32-1/2 on September 11."

A diagram (derived from the "Pentagon Building Performance Report", Figure 7.9) indicates a "Slab deflected upward" which is consistent with either an explosion below the slab, or an upward blow by a hard object.

Major General Albert Stubblebine, U.S. Army (ret) -- former Commanding General of U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, and head of Imagery Interpretation for Scientific and Technical Intelligence, stated in a video interview, "I don't know exactly what hit it, but I do know, from the photographs that I have analyzed and looked at very, very carefully, it was not an airplane."

September 12, 2001: Pentagon News Briefing

At the September 12, 2001, Dept. of Defense (DoD) News Briefing by Assistant Secretary of Defense, Victoria Clarke, Ed Plaugher (fire chief of Arlington County), and others, "American Airlines", "Flight 77", "Boeing 757" were not even mentioned.

How significant is this?

With the world's news media assembled at the Pentagon on the day after the alleged attack on the Pentagon by Arab hijackers flying American Airlines Flight 77 -- a Boeing 757 -- "American Airlines", "Flight 77", "Boeing 757" were not considered important enough to mention at the Pentagon News Briefing the day after the alleged attack!

Fire chief Ed Plaugher was asked by a reporter, "Is there anything left of the aircraft at all?" Plaugher responded, "there are some small pieces of aircraft ... there's no fuselage sections and that sort of thing."

When asked, "Chief, there are small pieces of the plane virtually all over, out over the highway, tiny pieces. Would you say the plane exploded, virtually exploded on impact due to the fuel", Plaugher reponded "You know, I'd rather not comment on that."

The transcript reveals that reporters were being "threatened or, in fact, handcuffed and dragged away".

This year, the transcript of the September 12, 2001 News Briefing was removed from the DoD website.

September 15, 2001: Pentagon News Briefing

At the September 15, 2001, Dept. of Defense (DoD) News Briefing by Mr. Lee Evey, Pentagon Renovation Manager, Rear Adm. Craig R. Quigley, deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Public Affairs, and others, it was apparent that there were lingering doubts about what had struck the Pentagon on September 11.

When Mr. Evey said, "the nose of the aircraft broke through this innermost wall of C Ring", a reporter asked, "One thing that's confusing -- if it came in the way you described, at an angle, why then are not the wings outside? I mean, the wings would have shorn off. The tail would have shorn off. And yet there's apparently no evidence of the aircraft outside the E Ring." Evey replied, "Actually, there's considerable evidence of the aircraft outside the E Ring. It's just not very visible."

Apparently, no one asked how "the nose of the aircraft" (a relatively weak component of the aircraft) remained sufficiently intact to penetrate the C Ring -- the E Ring is the outermost ring.

'Pentagon Building Performance Report'

In January 2003, the U.S. government's National Institute of Standards and Technology released the "Pentagon Building Performance Report" that belies the official account of 9/11.

Page 35 of this report reads: "An examination of the area encompassed by extending the line of travel of the aircraft to the face of the building shows that there are no discrete marks on the building corresponding to the positions of the outer third of the right wing. The size and position of the actual opening in the facade of the building (from column line 8 to column line 18) indicate that no portion of the outer two-thirds of the right wing and no portion of the outer one-third of the left wing actually entered the building."

Had a Boeing 757 struck the Pentagon, its wings would probably have been found outside the Pentagon. But these wings were not found outside the Pentagon!

Photographs, and CNN's Jamie McIntyre confirm this fact.

Page 36 of this report reads: "The height of the damage to the facade of the building was much less than the height of the aircraft's tail. At approximately 45 ft, the tail height was nearly as tall as the first four floors of the building. Obvious visible damage extended only over the lowest two floors, to approximately 25 ft above grade.

This implies that whatever struck the Pentagon, couldn't have been a Boeing 757.

Page 39 of this report reads: "Most likely, the wings of the aircraft were severed as the aircraft penetrated the facade of the building. Even if portions of the wings remained intact after passing through the plane of the facade, the structural damage pattern indicates that the wings were severed before the aircraft penetrated more than a few dozen feet into the building."

As previously noted, these wings were not found outside the Pentagon!

From the preceding it is clear that the "Pentagon Building Performance Report" -- prepared by the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Structural Engineering Institute, and released by the U.S. government's National Institute of Standards and Technology -- contradicts the official account of 9/11.

'Arlington County After-Action Report'

The "Arlington County After-Action Report" describes the occurrence of an event at the Pentagon minutes before the alleged strike of Flight 77, and the presence of Fort Myer Unit 161 at the Pentagon prior to impact.

Annex A, Page A-4 of this report states: "Captain Dennis Gilroy and his team were already on station at the Pentagon when Flight #77 slammed into it, just beyond the heliport. Foam 161 caught fire and suffered a flat tire from flying debris. Firefighters Mark Skipper and Alan Wallace were outside the vehicle at impact and received burns and lacerations. . . . Captain Gilroy called the Fort Myer Fire Department, reporting for the first time the actual location of the crash."

Did Fort Myer Unit 161 go the Pentagon following an explosion -- prior to the alleged strike of Flight 77?

It is consistent with the reporter's question at the September 12 News Briefing, "Chief, there are small pieces of the plane virtually all over, out over the highway, tiny pieces. Would you say the plane exploded, virtually exploded on impact due to the fuel"?

It is consistent with April Gallop's sworn complaint that "she was able to grab the baby and make her way towards the daylight showing through a blasted opening in the outside wall. There was no airplane wreckage and no burning airplane fuel anywhere; only rubble and dust."

It is consistent with military affairs journalist Barbara Honegger's account of "Multiple standard-issue, battery-operated wall clocks . . . stopped between 9:31 and 9:32-1/2 on September 11."

Fort Myer Unit 161's arrival at the Pentagon to put out a fire prior to the strike by "Flight 77" is not consistent with the official account of 9/11.

'American Airlines' Flight Data Recorder

Pilots for 9/11 Truth state: "video captured by the parking gate cam is in direct conflict with the Aircraft Flight Data Recorder data released by the NTSB" (National Transportation Safety Board) pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act request. The "Pentagon Building Performance Report" states (page 14): "A Pentagon security camera located near the northwest corner of the building recorded the aircraft as it approached the building. Five photographs (figures 3.3 through 3.7), taken approximately one second apart, show the approaching aircraft and the ensuing fireball associated with the initial impact. The first photograph (figure 3.3) captured an image of the aircraft when it was approximately 320 ft (approximately 0.42 second) from impact with the west wall of the Pentagon. Two photographs (figures 3.3 and 3.7), when compared, seem to show that the top of the fuselage of the aircraft was no more than approximately 20 ft above the ground when the first photograph of this series was taken."

On page 35 of this report we're told, "The site data indicate that the aircraft fuselage impacted the building at column line 14 at an angle of approximately 42 degrees to the normal to the face of the building, at or slightly below the second-story slab."

However, the NTSB animation (January 2002), according to Pilots for 9/11 Truth, shows an aircraft flying north of the Navy Annex, not leveling off, and being too high to have hit the Pentagon.

When confronted with this discrepancy, NTSB Chief Jim Potter said: "I have no comment on the existence of the discrepancies."

Eyewitnesses state categorically that a plane (which they believed was Flight 77) flew north of the Citgo gas station (now the Navy Exchange) located west of the Pentagon on South Joyce Street at Columbia Pike, rather than flying south of the gas station as stated in official reports.

G-Forces Would Have Destroyed the Boeing 757

Pilots for 9/11 Truth conclude: "Arlington's unique topography and obstacles along American 77 "final leg" to the Pentagon make this approach completely impossible as we will demonstrate.

Flight 77 is alleged to have flown over Columbia Pike and the Virginia Department of Transportation communications tower located 1143 yards west of the Pentagon before striking the Pentagon at "530 miles per hour".

The antenna on the VDOT tower has been determined to be 169 ft above the ground with a ground elevation of 135 feet (FCC Registration Number 1016111). The ground elevation of the Pentagon is 33 feet according to USGS.

This path would have taken Flight 77 south of the gas station at the intersection of Columbia Pike and S. Joyce Street, and over the intersection of Columbia Pike and Virginia Route 27. VA-27 goes over Columbia Pike, and forms about a 20 feet tall barrier, about 150 yards out from the west wall of the Pentagon, in the alleged path of Flight 77.

After this intersection Flight 77 would have been over Pentagon ground with about 150 yards remaining to level out and to strike the Pentagon "slightly below the second floor slab" at "an angle of approximately 42 degrees".

According to the "Pentagon Building Performance Report" (page 14), "the top of the fuselage of the aircraft was no more than approximately 20 ft above the ground when the first photograph" from the security camera was taken.

Leaving aside the discrepancies between the official account of Flight 77, and the Flight Data Recorder (which NTSB refuses to answer), Pilots for 9/11 Truth calculated the force on the Boeing 757 at 34 Gs, i.e. 34 times the force due to gravity, at the point that it would have to transition from its downward flight to level flight.

With a virtual weight of about 8.5 million pounds, Flight 77 could not have leveled off before striking the Pentagon. It would have crashed at the intersection of Columbia Pike and VA-27. This alone is sufficient to refute the official account of "Flight 77" -- Flight 77 cannot violate the laws of science.

Pilots for 9/11 Truth did another calculation by lowering the height of "Flight 77" below that shown by the FDR. They lowered it to the top of the VDOT antenna.

With this very conservative case, they calculated the force on the Boeing 757 at 11.2 Gs. "11.2 Gs was never recorded in the FDR. 11.2 Gs would rip the aircraft apart" they wrote.

Impossible: Damage Path and Flight Path Aligned

With Flight 77 alleged to have struck the Pentagon at "an angle of approximately 42 degrees", the flight path and the damage path cannot possibly form a straight line.

Flying at "an angle of approximately 42 degrees" the Boeing 757's starboard wing would have struck the west wall of the Pentagon first. This would cause the aircraft to veer to the right, and the damage path would be in line with the aircraft's new heading -- not with the aircraft's heading prior to impact.

However, the "Pentagon Building Performance Report" Figures 6.2 and 6.6 show that the flight path and damage path (damage path also illustrated in the "Arlington County After Action Report", page 23) do form a straight line extending from the center-line of the fuselage of the aircraft to where the "the nose of the aircraft broke through this innermost wall of C Ring".

The flight path and damage path depicted forming a straight line in Figures 6.2 and 6.6 violate the laws of science. This alone is sufficient to refute the official account of "Flight 77" -- Flight 77 cannot violate the laws of science.

Therefore, what looks like a puff of smoke -- labeled "Approaching Aircraft" in the security camera video, cannot possibly be a Boeing 757.

Conclusion

To conclude, the official account of Flight 77 -- supported only by one frame from a security camera showing a puff of something approaching the Pentagon -- is contradicted by the transcripts of Pentagon News Briefings conducted on September 12 and 15; by the "Pentagon Building Performance Report"; by the "Arlington County After-Action Report"; and by the Flight Data Recorder provided by the NTSB.

The official account of Flight 77 contradicts the laws of science. Flight 77 could not have withstood the calculated G-force when it would have had to level out -- about 100 yards before striking the Pentagon -- with "the top of the fuselage of the aircraft . . . no more than approximately 20 ft above the ground". The flight path of a Boeing 757 traveling at "530 miles per hour", striking the Pentagon at "an angle of approximately 42 degrees", and the resulting damage path inside the Pentagon cannot possibly form a straight line.

Airline pilot cleared of role in 9/11 after 'nine years of hell'

The Guardian (UK) reported: Lotfi Raissi, an Algerian living in Britain who lost his career as an airline pilot, suffered wrongful imprisonment and damage to his health, will now be eligible for up to £2m compensation. . . .

Raissi's arrest, at his home in Colnbrook, Berkshire, 10 days after the 9/11 attacks, followed an extradition request from the FBI. In court, where he awaited extradition to the US on a holding charge, he was described by British lawyers representing the US as one of the lead instructors of the four hijackers.

Pentagon employee April Gallop case dismissed

On April 16, 2010, it was reported that William Veale, the attorney representing April Gallop, wrote: "Judge Chin has just dismissed the Gallop case. He said that the allegations are frivolous and based on fantasy and delusion."

"April Gallop's . . . desk was roughly 40 feet from the point where the plane [Flight 77] allegedly hit the outside wall. Regarding my comments on 9/11, at the Berkeley Center program "Ending Wars Well: Just War Theory and Conflict's End", my book "9/11 Unveiled" presents hard evidence that the official version of 9/11 is fatally flawed.

Robert D. Crane, Co-founder, Center for Strategic and International Studies, Washington, D.C., Deputy Director for Planning at the National Security Council, and Principal Foreign Policy Adviser to Richard Nixon wrote:

Assistant Secretary Posner challenged to answer 9/11 skeptics

Yesterday, at the AMA Foundation's Forum on National Security & American Muslims, Michael H. Posner — Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of State — was challenged to answer 9/11 skeptics.

"9/11 is central to national security, terrorism and human rights," said Mr. Enver Masud, Founder of The Wisdom Fund. He added that Osama bin Laden is not wanted for 9/11 by the FBI. BBC News has reported several hijackers are alive. A recent Angus Reid poll concludes that 26% of Americans do not believe The 9/11 Commission Report.

Mr. Masud then handed Mr. Posner his book "9/11 Unveiled" together with a letter to President Obama, and a copy of a quarter-page, newspaper advertisement that contains highlights from his book.

Mr. Posner's response was that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed had admitted to planning 9/11.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed admitted his role in 9/11 after being waterboarded 183 times. Skeptics of the official report do not believe that KSM is the "mastermind" of 9/11.

Nihad Awad, Executive Director and co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and Sahar Aziz of the Bill of Rights Defense Committee also spoke at the forum.

Among those attending the forum was Mr. Darron Paul Monteiro, Associate Director White House Office of Public Engagement. He was scheduled to speak at the event, but was not permitted to do so by the White House.

The forum was moderated by Dr. Agha Saeed, Founder and Chairman of American Muslim Alliance Foundation, and sponsored by Muhammad Salim Akhtar, National Director of the American Muslim Task Force on Civil Rights and Elections.

Mr. Masud is also the author of "The War on Islam." An expanded, 5th edition is to be released on April 17, 2010 — the 15th anniversary of The Wisdom Fund.

Staging Bin Laden’s 'death'

Enver Masud, founder of The Wisdom Fund, says, "It appears that we are being primed for the 'death' of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden."

Attorney General Eric Holder told a House panel this month that bin Laden "will never appear in an American courtroom."

Others who have examined “Bin Laden’s tapes” have concluded that Bin Laden is dead.

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates admitted that the US has had no reliable information on the whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden in years.

But the US needs a neat ending to its war on Afghanistan.

Staging Bin Laden’s death will be seen as a fitting end to this genocidal war for the control of energy resources. Of course it will have to be done so that visual identification is not possible.

We suspect that when Bin Laden is “killed,” we’ll just have to trust the folks that lied us into war to confirm they got him.

One in four Americans believe 9/11 was a fabrication and pretext for war

The following are the results of an Angus Reid poll:

Do you agree or disagree with this statement? – “The Sept. 11 incident was a big fabrication as a pretext for the campaign against terrorism and a prelude for staging an invasion against Afghanistan.”

Result: 26% agree; 12% not sure; 62% disagree.

The commission that investigated the events of Sept. 11, 2001 concluded that an attack was carried out by 19 hijackers who were members of the al-Qaeda terrorist organization, led by Osama bin Laden. Do you believe this is what actually happened on 9/11?

Result: 12% said no; 21% not sure; 67% said yes.

If you believe it's a fantasy, why does the government refuse to answer the questions raised by more than 1000 architects and engineers, dozens of pilots, military and intelligence personnel, etc.?

During my 3-week, 9/11 lecture tour of South Africa — http://www.twf.org/911.html — I spoke to hundreds daily, was on national radio, and was interviewed on a television show broadcast to more than 20 countries. Virtually no one disagreed with me that The 9/11 Commission Report was fatally flawed.

The US embassy declined to provide someone to rebut me, despite the fact that the radio station, SABC, waited over a week for them.

I managed a multidisciplinary team of 150 persons at the US Dept of Energy, have consulted for USAID and the World Bank, and do not put my reputation on the line lightly.

The official version of events is the fantasy.

Flight 77: FBI exhibit contradicts Solicitor General's account of Barbara Olson's phone calls on 9/11

According to Marc Fisher and Don Phillips of the Washington Post, Barbara K. Olson called her husband twice in the final minutes. Her last words to him were, "What do I tell the pilot to do?"

"She called from the plane while it was being hijacked," said Theodore Olson — 42nd Solicitor General of the United States. "I wish it wasn't so, but it is."

"The two conversations each lasted about a minute, said Tim O'Brien, a CNN reporter and friend of the Olsons."

However, FBI exhibit P200054 from the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui contradicts the Solicitor General's account. It shows that Barbara Olson made only one phone call — it did not connect, and it lasted for 0 seconds.

Mr. Olson's account appeared on the front page of the Washington Post on September 12, 2001, and is repeated in The 9/11 Commission Report.

9/11 trial: an amicus curiae brief from the 9/11 truth movement?

Amicus curiae is a legal Latin phrase, literally translated as "friend of the court", that refers to someone, not a party to a case, who volunteers to offer information on a point of law or some other aspect of the case to assist the court in deciding a matter before it. The information may be a legal opinion in the form of a brief, a testimony that has not been solicited by any of the parties, or a learned treatise on a matter that bears on the case. The decision whether to admit the information lies with the discretion of the court.

The idea that Osama bin Laden was responsible for the 9/11 attacks has been an article of faith for public officials and the mainstream media. Calling it an “article of faith” points to two features of this idea. On the one hand, no one in these circles publicly challenges this idea. . . .

BOOK REVIEW: 'The Ground Truth: The Untold Story of America Under Attack on 9/11'

“The Ground Truth: The Untold Story of America Under Attack on 9/11,” by John Farmer — senior counsel to the 9/11 Commission, claims that the government presented a “fundamentally false version of events”. If this leads some to believe that Mr. Farmer will present the true version of events, they will be disappointed.

What the book does is expose the shortcomings of the government’s response to the hijackings on 9/11. Mr. Farmer does not question the identity of the hijackers although several were later reported by British newspapers as being alive.

He accepts the official version that 9/11 was directed by Osama Bin Laden although Bin Laden himself denied that to a Pakistani newspaper, and the FBI says they have no hard evidence against Bin Laden. They do not even mention 9/11 in their "Most Wanted Terrorists" poster of Bin Laden!

Mr. Farmer’s book basically describes how the hijackers were able to penetrate multiple layers of U.S. security: National Security Agency, Central Intelligence Agency, FBI, the State Department’s visa offices, and airline screening.

His book may be useful to those wishing to “reinvent government.” Until that is done, says Farmer, the passage of new statutes, or the creation of new procedures, or the creation of the Department of Homeland Security leaves the U.S. vulnerable to “terrorist” attacks.

Mr. Farmer does not address the mounting evidence that the twin towers and Building 7 of the World Trade Center were demolished with explosives. He does seem to admit that United Airlines Flight 93 may have been shot down, but he makes no reference to the lack of hard evidence that American Airlines Flight 77 struck the Pentagon.

Indeed his failure to address the evidence is particularly striking where he refers to the phone calls made by the passengers and crew of Flight 93 and Flight 77.

The claim that Flight 77 passenger Barbara Olson called her husband, Justice Department's Solicitor General Ted Olson, twice, was contradicted at the Zacarias Moussaoui trial in 2006.

The FBI reported that only two cell phone calls were made from all four planes — both from United Flight 93.

Mr. Farmer may have done the 9/11 truth movement a favor. By revealing the government's conspiracy to lie about its response to 9/11, Mr. Farmer casts doubt on ALL the findings of the 9/11 Commission.
